25 Free Roofs for Troops & Widows Throughout 2026
East Coast Roofing, Siding & Windows is proud to launch Project Honor, our most ambitious and faith-driven charitable initiative yet — giving away 25 free roofs to active military members, veterans, and widows of veterans across South Jersey in honor of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026.
This is more than just a giveaway. It’s a celebration of patriotism, sacrifice, and the American dream — and our way of covering those who served.
Who We Are
Today, we’re proud to be a GAF Master Elite President’s Club roofer, which is a recognition held by less than 2% of contractors nationwide. But what sets us apart isn’t just the quality of our roofs — it’s our heart.
We’re a faith-based, community-driven company with a mission to make a difference locally and around the world. Whether it’s supporting food banks, building schools in Guatemala, or helping a neighbor in need, we believe we’re called to serve.
Why We’re Giving Back
As we approach America’s 250th birthday in 2026, we felt strongly led, both by legacy and by faith, to do something bold. Our founder, the late Larry Stiteler, was deeply committed to honoring veterans. So in his memory, and in celebration of our nation’s founding, we’re committing to give away 25 roofs — one for each decade of American history.
Each roof will be built with the full GAF roofing system and most qualify for the Golden Pledge® Warranty, the same top-tier quality we offer paying customers.
No corners cut. No hidden costs. Just one simple goal: to bless those who served with peace of mind and a secure roof over their heads.
How It Works
We’ll be giving away roofs in batches throughout the year, aligning with patriotic holidays such as:
Presidents’ Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Patriot Day (9/11)
Veterans Day

We invite veterans, widows of veterans, or caring community members to apply or nominate someone in need. We’re looking for individuals who:
- Are active-duty military members
- Have served (or whose spouse served) in the U.S. military
- Are facing financial or physical hardship
- Own their home and live in our service area (Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Salem, Burlington, Ocean, Camden, Gloucester Counties.)
We do not discriminate based on age, branch, or rank. Every application is prayerfully and thoughtfully reviewed. Apply below or nominate someone deserving.
How the Selection Process Works
We’re accepting applications for Project Honor on a rolling basis throughout the year. That means:
There is only one application — you don’t need to reapply each time.
Every eligible application stays in the pool for future giveaways.
With each round, we’ll carefully review all submitted applications and select recipients based on need and circumstances.
If you’re not selected right away, your application will automatically remain in consideration for the next round.
